Prepare thyself... For London!

Kay, guys. Prepare yourselves for what may turn out to be THE LONGEST blog post I've ever written. Seriously... This one will be long. Because I have to put about 4 days worth of blog postage into one, and it involves a LOT of London and a LOT of silliness. :D

Last Saturday, Siobhan had her 18th birthday party. Her actual birthday is 10 days from now, but let's glaze right on over that fact, shall we?

We got all dressed up (AND had somewhere to go!)

We danced all night, and then walked home at about 2 in the morning. Despite our efforts to get each other drunk (we enjoy being 18 to the fullest extent here, and bought each other drinks), neither of us managed it. Even the barman noticed and gave us both free double shots of archers.... Still didn't work. ;)

The next day (free of hangovers) Siobhan and I went into London. We sat around at Starbucks for a good two hours or so and talked writing... it was great! We wandered around London and took some fantastic pictures of the city at night.

The next day after that, we went into London AGAIN. We walked around Camden and then into shops and bookshops. And then we went to see a musical... Avenue Q! It was SO. GOOD. It's kind of like Muppets for adults. It's hilarious and totally worth seeing. Not exactly a family show with songs like Everyone's a Little Bit Racist, If You Were Gay, and let's not forget The Internet is For Porn. But it's fantastic. We spent twenty pounds on tickets with our student discount and got seats five rows from the front.
And after the show, we got to meet some of the Cast! (This is one of the STARS of the show!)

Yesterday Siobhan and I went up onto the London Eye...

And after that, we wandered around a bit more. Right into the Whole Foods in London! (It's excellent, Mama. :) )

By this point, we were both so exhausted that we ended up sitting on the stairs of Trafalger Square for about half an hour. It started raining while we were sitting there and we just opened our umbrellas and kept on sitting there. When we stood up, the ground was dry where we had been sitting.

And then we found our way to this shop called Forbidden Planet, which is essentially a Fantasy Geek Haven. There were TWO WHOLE BOOKSHELVES of Tolkien!! (Wooo!!!)

And afterwards we found ourselves at the door of Spamalot, and we might have gone in and gotten a box for twenty pounds! Fantastic price, no? It was just as good the second time on the West End. :D

I will write about today tomorrow. I've been uploading and prepping for blogging for the last two hours... and now it's time to go to bed!
