A brief debate

I warn you - I'm going to briefly delve into the realm of the controversial tonight. I've chosen an issue well worth it's salt, for it is an issue that everyone takes a side on. Not many people know where or when they took their side, but it is an everlasting battle that goes on between people of all ages, and once the debate starts it is often never resolved. Because of this controversy, it needs to be blogged about!

So...

How do you say the word 'Crayon'?

There are, it seems, 3 pronunciations: 'Cray-on', 'Crown', and 'Cran'.

I belong wholly to the 'Cran' camp. It's the way I heard it when I was little and it's the way I'll say it forever.

So what about y'all?

Clearly you must have been raised by wolves. Everyone knows it is pronounced Cray - yawn.

I say crown. I have been told ever since I was little that it was wrong and have tried to switch to cray-on, but have never been successful. Hopefully I can teach my future children the right way.
